A Bit About Us

Welcome to Madeley Cricket Clubs new website. We are working really hard to add more and more sections please keep checking back for more updates!

Madeley Cricket Club, is a family friendly club in the heart of Telford, which was formed in 1855 which makes it one of the oldest Cricket Clubs in Shropshire and in 2025, we will be celebrating 170 years of owning the Park Street Ground. We will be holding several events throughout 2025 to celebrate this milestone, stay tuned here and on social media for information on events as they pop up!

Madeley is a thriving club with 4 Men's teams, 2 ladies teams, 3 junior teams and numerous individual sessions for children of a wide range of ages throughout the year. All teams currently play in the Shropshire County Cricket Leagues with the 1st team playing in the Shropshire Premier League for a number of years.

Our Junior section took a huge step forward in 2024 and had a full team of children for each individual age group, including the under 11, under 13 & under 15. We also participate in the ECB Dynamos & Allstar programs each year and are holding regular softball sessions as an introduction to cricket for new young players. These softball sessions are also being run through the winter. As well as the Cricket, we have a number of events running throughout the year including live music, quizzes, race nights and Children's Christmas parties.
